Our Story

How it all started

The Ukrainian Baptist Church was established in 2001 by Ukrainian families in the Portland metro region. Many of our founding members fled religious persecution in the Soviet Union and came to the United States looking for new opportunities and the chance to worship God freely.

From those first families, the congregation has grown to more than 240 members who worship together, raise their children in faith, and serve the community around them.
